Generally, when males are in their adolescent years they are much more sexually driven. Funny to say, because their whole lives, men are naturally driven by sex and the urge to reproduce. Back to the point. "Sex" is not literally all they think about, while it is a very high priority on their "things to imagine" list, it is not their life force through their teen years. From my experience, I thought about it a considerable amount. At the same time I must say that for me personally, I really wanted a "steady" girlfriend, or a sort of commitment. As for looking for a spouse...was not quite to that stage yet. In the adolescent years, statistically speaking, most males are looking to find a female just to sexually experiment with. And some, about 6% will end up committing or marrying that same female later in life.

Well, it's true that it seems to become overly important to you at that age (Hormones, peer pressure, etc)

To me though, I had far more important things to be worrying about than relationships/just sex

So it's not a 100% thing, 'most' men do tend to want a lot of sex during adolescence because of hormones and peer pressure, but it's definitely not 'all' men 'all' the time ;)

True it's hormonal .. but certainly not that alone. All who have sex (unless something's bad in it of course) will admit it is the most relaxing thing known to the human body .. nothing at all compares .. & rightly so (knowing just how the body works & changes because of sex alone .. well .. that's a whole book's worth there).

Primarily, all guys want that feeling .. the total auric end-result .. but there's more. So many (I too of course) also find it totally desirous in fact to see & watch a female during those times because they truly show emotions & body-language that just don't surface at any other time in quite the same ways .. & the holding .. the needing .. closest a guy can come to being loved by even their own mothers .. & that is deep-grained. I believe guys need all that ..as do girls too if not so much.

Personally I don't agree with the statement that men just want to propagate for population growth. Older ones in fact look at today's world & many say they'd really have reservations about bringing kids into this world as it is.

In us males, it certainly is animal instinct, though with motives & emotions behind the drive too .. we do want that much.

I'm old now .. but on my first .. she gave me really all I mention above & even at that age, I was absolutely sure this is the one I wanted to be with for life .. but I don't know if that can be said for all boys though. If so, it's probably a fleeting thing. It's later we learn more of what they want & how to give to them .. not just in sex. That comes with age.
