Help answer this question below.

Is there a difference between Windows XP service pack 1 and service pack 1a? ( ask because my winver says I have 1, not 1a, and I think I need 1a to get 2, to get iTunes. Oi vey.)

    I am not sure, but I ave gone from a base install (no SP at all) to SP2 in a single bound a few times so it's irrelevant.

    I think when you install 2 it gives you everything up that point. Or you can download a copy of Windoz 7 and use it free for a year. It manages your memory very well on runs ok on older systems.
