  • Celibacy is not in the nature of humankind. Celibacy is a stone stupid idea. Note that St. Augustine got it all out of his system before declaring sex to be The Bad Thing. And then there was St. Jerome. Not right in his head at all. A nut case. John Donne had lots of fun in his youth, then a marriage with a zillion children before Anne died (Isaac Walton said, "She had yearly a child") and THEN he got all godly. Does that priest's name HAVE to be Father Cutie? (I realize there's an accent aigue over the e - but still..... it's SUCH a set-up.)
