I saw a movie some years ago about an ironic situation where a few soldiers from opposing sides are stuck together between the opposing battle lines. I believe its a famous foreign language film, but i cannot remember its name. do you know?

    Was this American and German soldiers during WWII? Were they stuck together one Christmas Eve? I remember seeing a foreign film about that.

    This sounds incredibly like " A Midnight Clear " from 1992. It's actually my favorite film about war.

    PLOT SPOILERS!! Does the film take place in a snowy, forested area for the most part? And they all take shelter together? Kevin Dillon, Ethen Hawke, Gary Sinese?
