Help answer this question below.
Absolutely. I did. I was born and raised in the country. I spent many years working in the cities. I came back. Less pay but better life.
I will eventually..but I still See Wonderful Nature in Front me:):) And I Live in a City..you percieve the World totally differently:):):) But that's cool yo:):)
I would in a skinny heartbeat. The engagement broke, the money grew slight and my health problems began. The dream of a lifetime collapsed.
I live in the pseudo-country. I'd never live in the city. I was raised in the country. You happen to have a spare bedroom?
Yes, if I had someone going with me to make a new start.
I would so move in a heartbeat...but I am not yet married. Need to first snare someone to keep company, then it is to the mountains :)
Yes. That sounds like euphoria. You are the lucky one.
Sounds lovely.
Although, don't think I could permanently live there.
I think I'd be more of the type to own a cabin on some private beach.
Snow is not always my thang. :/ MUY FRIO!!
In a second. But I have a job that keeps me in the city and a wife who is definitely a city girl. So I'm living in the city and can get to the country only on vacation. But I envy you.
For a vacation I would, or even for a weekend outing. But I couldn't live there constantly, I'm a city dweller by nature.
In a heart beat. When it all finally goes South and the corporations reign supreme, I'll probably take up to the mountains, find me a cave and become a hermit
not really, I dont live in the heart of the city, ( that would be torture for me) although I do live on the fringe of a big city, my suburb is surrounded in greenery, trees and large plots of land, water surrounding us in all ways, we call our selves a 'village' which is uncommon for suburbs now days, its very fiendly and casual. We have a warm and gentle spiritual element within our fold ! :) ( I would like to be able to view the stars with more clarity though...) still cant have everything.
In a heartbeat, and thank you for asking--you are so much more fortunate than most will ever know! Hugs, and take a deep breath for me!
I'll be moving in with you soon.
Where do you live and how far from the city are you? Would love to move to a place like that and also go white water rafting . But need most of the days in Sunny weather.
YES! The mountains are part of my heart.
Think about this, once upon a time there were no cities and ways to rid ones mind of all the stress that today brings. The one thing that has always brought peace is nature and how it shapes who we are. There is nothing like summer breeze blowing through the trees on a mountain top, or the crisp fall air and leaves of many colors. *Sigh* I would love to hop in my car and take off to the blue ridge mountains... such tranquil peace away from anything bad.
already have in '94. Best move I ever made!!! :)

You're reading I live in the mountains, abundant fresh air & water, trees & flowers surround me, warm summers & snow capped winter mountains, I can see thousands of stars in a clear night sky never blocked with city pollution. Would you leave the city for the country?

Good to hear Tom47 ... Thankyou

Actually, the "less pay" is not even accurate. The cost of living must be figured. I live in a house now that would cost four times as much in a residential area in the nearest city. And the property taxes are much less, as is the insurance and utilities....And I now grow most of my own food. We even have a goat that gives delicious milk...(smile)

And there is still a lot of "barter" around here. "Got some fresh greens? How about some tomatoes for some broccoli?" (lol)
