I think they enjoying screwing you whether your on the phone or not, after all they are for profit companies not charities even IF they have a legal respocibility to you they will try and limit it as much as they can and use any means to do it I think they call it risk management and of course to try and fight them is ridiculas as they are protected by the state and your not .. ~Nemo~

Yes definitely, after a break in on my car & the day after I reported a claim. It was raining heavy and they asked for all the damage that I could see (torrential rain) . The day after was glorious and more damage was apparent. I ended up with two car claims? how annoying is that!!

They do make it their mission to discourage you from making claims or being successful at collecting. I know that for sure. So whenever I deal with our insurance company, I make very sure I don't just allow them to decide the outcome. I always take an active part in proving my "case" with them. I don't allow them to blow me off. They're used to folks just giving up with them since it's too much hassle.
