Help answer this question below.

USB external harddrive says "Delayed Write Failed", and USB 3G dongle constantly disconnects...some days, others it works fine. I've tried Microsoft and Google but neither seem to answer my question, i've tried what I have found but it hasn't helped!

    Most likely, the electronics in the external drive that translate the USB interface to the hard drive (probably SATA) is failing. A very simple check would be to buy a replacement external case (about $20) and move the drive to that chassis. If it works, problem solved. If not, then it's possible that the USB connection on the computer or the USB cable is bad. When you buy the external drive, if it doesn't come with an additional cable, you might want to pick one up. Finally, try different USB ports on your computer and if the drive is USB 2.0, I would recommend that you plug it into a USB 2.0 port and not a USB 1.1 port.
