I'm having trouble, just paying the bills associated with being HEALTHY!
A week or two yes. The minimum sick leave entitlement here is 5 days per year and you can accumulate upto 4 years. I've probably taken 2-3 sick days in the last couple of years so I've got at least 2-3 weeks sick leave (full pay) if required.
No I cannot afford to be sick at all. I have a very demanding job. If I get sick it would not be pretty.
No, not at all. I own my own business, if I am sick for too long I have to pay someone to work for me, therefore I can't afford to pay me.
Been out on medical leave since Jan 09 and it sucks!
And on top of that they laid me off.
