What is the best way to deal with a yeast infection (either over the counter or home remedies?)

    This depends on how severe the infection is and also depends on your past history. If you have suffered from many yeast infections, you may need additional treatment. Some people do not realize that yeast infections can turn systemic.

    Eating yogurt is beneficial, but only if the yogurt is plain without any added sugar. Sugar and any other carbs feed yeast, so my recommendation is that you research some other supplements specifically tailored toward eliminating yeast completely. I have found Organic Bovine Colostrum to be the best treatment, along with acidophilus, and Candex. Once you eliminate the yeast, diet plays a HUGE role in preventing any further outbreaks. Try to stay away from any sugar or sugar substitues. Stevia is the only sweetener that does not feed the yeast.

    Also, antibiotics, steroids, and certain pain medicines can also trigger a yeast outbreak. If you have to take any of these types of medicines, double up on your yeast treatment medicine, whether it is doctor-prescribed OR natural supplements. Many times a doctor will prescribe Diflucan along with an antibiotic if you mention that you have a history of yeast infections.

    eat some yogurt with acidophilus in it. This will help more than anything and any OTC medication will treat it...don't buy the expensive kind..the cheap kind is just as good
