Well, if primary colors were only for children, Piet Mondrian would be a children's artist. I think there are fabulous paintings with primary colors that appeal to anyone who likes paintings. The colors themselves do not make the quality. Anything can be used for great or bad results.
It's not what colors you use, it's how you use them.
