Help answer this question below.

I want to go to the doctor so i can get birth control but im not sure because i dont want my mom to know that sexually active with my boyfriend..even tough i always use protection such as a condom but i also want birth control. im only 17 years old.

    I would go to Planned Parenthood and discuss my options. If your boyfriend is properly using condoms, you should be pretty safe. However, if you're planning unprotected sex, which I would advise against, be very careful and make sure you both go through a fully battery of STD tests.

    Can I just say, well done for being so mature!!!

    Your mom shouldn't find out that you're getting birth control unless she finds your pills or you tell her. Doctors have a code of confidentially, so if you go in, they can't discuss anything you say.

    If you're that paranoid about getting found out, go to a pharmacy that isn't near where your family would go.

    But I would say that you should talk to your mom at some point. She may be a little upset that you didn't come to her sooner, but she should be proud that you are being this responsible and making the right decisions.
