The best way to prepare is learn all you can about the company before the interview. Most people don't do this and that will set you apart from the rest of the applicants.

No, unless they hire you on the spot. That isn't happening these days. They try to treat everyone exactly alike and ask all the candidates the same questions (as much as possible) to prevent saying something that could be taken as a positive or indication that they will hire you. If they did it could lead to problems if you don't get the job.

I went to an interview a few months ago and the old lady that I was next to, hand wrote her resume!!!

If you can get the interviewer to laugh and don't mess up in any other area, you probably have a good chance.
