Thousands, I would imagine.

I'm with you in spirit. I'm very disappointed that the California Supreme Court voted to uphold a majority's "right" to take away the rights of a minority. Perhaps you could visit Iowa, Connecticut, Vermont(?), or Massachusetts instead.

Sorry, dude. I shouted at my fellow citizens as much as I could, but it seems that for all of our pretensions of being enlightened and progressive, we're really just as stuck in the past here as anywhere else. But there are some positive signs in the Supreme Court decision, if you read the fine print. And I'm sure the whole shebang will be back on the ballot soon enough -- perhaps now enough people have had a chance to look at it from more than one perspective and a few more will vote to do the right thing. Meanwhile, enjoy your vacation :)

I fully give you my support my friend. It is too bad the state still bans gay marriages----it is sort of ironic, being such a liberal state. I was in California last month with my family, and we had a very good time. We went to Disneyland and Laguna Beach, and the kids really enjoyed both.

Go to San Francisco. In our area we voted something like 70% against prop 8. You'll be welcome here. Promise.
