I am not sure who Warren Buffet is but, I work with this woman who doesn't have a TV, mobile phone, a computer or a partner, she isn't meant to start work until 8 -8.30am but is in every morning at 5.45am, work that one out?

I don't have a Cell phone either and am all the better for it. I could probably do without my computer as it is really just used as a distraction when I am bored. Good for him!

Good for Warren Buffet :D

That's not my style, but it sure works for Warren Buffet.

I admire anyone who refuses to be used as an antennae for a cell phone. However, If I had everything going on he has no computer or cellphone.... that's crazy.

Everything I've heard about Warren Buffet points to him being a very wise man. Apparently, he does not micro-manage his businesses (...which I think is a great management style because it shows trust in your people's ability and character... which usually brings out the best in people.) He appoints the best people he can find as managers and then gives them a free hand to run the business as they see fit. He has one meeting with them per year and all he wants to see is positive results. If not, you're history. Seems fair enough to me.

Smart..he chooses people around him who are brilliant at those things so he doesn't need to be..he focuses on what he is good at doing. Delegation of duties to others is the hallmark of a great executive. :)

Leaving the computer off or your desk is a key to being successful in today's business world. First, it clears the clutter and allows workers to focus on whatever task they are currently working on (computers can sidetrack us). Second, moving away from the computer and focusing on the person sitting on the other side of the desk is how business relationships are formed. Obviously, Buffet knows this...and has succeeded because of it.
