Help answer this question below.
No, I do this thing called "updating", and that seems to work pretty well.
Please tell me more.
No. But some nitwit went into a number of unsafe music sites on my computer looking for a song that they wanted and ended up damaging my modem as a result. Needless to say, they will not be doing that again on my computer.
I'm not sure. Avast gave me a warning that there was a Trojan or Worm attempting to infect my computer yesterday but it caught it, disconnected me an killed the virus.
I ran a scan later and was clear so it caught what ever it was.
I haven't gotten the warning email.
Not at all, but then again I'm running linux to prevent such a thing.
No. I took your warning to heart and haven't any worms. While we are on the subject, I feel something crawling here and there. No No, forget that, worms aren't for me. ARE THEY?? Just a little bit of no will do. Pleeeeeeze.
Nope.
My main OS is Arch Linux, obviously it cannot be infected.
My virtual machine XP doesn't save changes to the hard disk, so a reboot is enough to remove malware.
My dual-boot XP operates off-line.
First I heard about it :D
lately i am gtting this error on my win 7 that my harddisk has found an error pls start the backup process..

I do too, usually I'm very dilligent. Unfortunatley, when it comes to trogens and worms, you have to be on top of it, no dallinging, cause then you die. ;D

"Updating" is more than just Macroshaft patches though, and any reputable AV software maker will update their database within hours (if not minutes, if they are good and lucky) of a threat becoming known.
