Throwing up while upset is more associated with nerves and anxiety, which can manifest itself as nausea, causing one to lose their stomach contents.

Thank you, I've been this way for as long as I can remember. If I start that really hard crying I can't stop and then I throw up. I had someone tell me it was an eating disorder. Didnt make sense.
