Help answer this question below.

I have mushrooms growing in clusters in my backyard thay are white with little brown loookin flakes on them wondering if there trip shrooms???? i live in fort worth, texas

    DO NOT eat any 'shrooms that you are not sure of. They can be poisonous and kill you and/or destroy your liver. Those do not sound like the kind of mushroom I used to harvest back in the 70's. Tripping shrooms grow in cow dung. They were a light to dark brown and when you broke the crown off the stem, the break would turn purple. This is by no means an accurate measure of tripping shrooms. There was a story that the DEA required commercial cattle food producers to include and anti-fungal to inhibit mushroom growth. Don't know if that is true or not, but the point would be moot with home-grown cattle eating non-commerical feed.
