  • It's not. The computer makes an excellent cupholder with or without the operating system.

  • Can you buy a computer without an operating system? I think you would be strongly encouraged to include one otherwise you will find it difficult to even boot the thing.

  • Nice one HasntBeen. :-) Most computers before XP used a system called DOS when no system was present. U might have seen the computer on the TV show Lost, or mabye u have seen a very old computer. But considering DOS is a (Very hard to use) Operating System, Trying to boot ur computer without a system will give about the same results as eating it will, so no, u can't use a computer without a system.
  • I forgot to mention u CAN buy a computer without a system to reduce price and make it easier to put ur own, but not many computers come without a system.
