  • YES! I'm in Customer Service, Field Service, actually. I have been doing this for many years. I always saw myself as the customers' representative to our company. I find out what their problem really is and work with my company to resolve them. Sometimes I have to go against my company's desires but in the long run, the solution is in the best interest of both parties and the customer returns for other purchases and recommends us to his aquaintences. When I call customer service, my main complaint is long waits. The service rep. is usually knowledgable and quickly solves the problem or finds someone that can. I've had frequent conversations with Verizon representatives, for example, and have always had good service. Companies with poor service don't get repeat business and are soon weeded out.
