Question

Help answer this question below.

My fuel injectors died on my 89 VW Golf (gas), would you suggest to put new fuel injectors or have a new carborator installed instead? I was told carborators are less hassle, plus easier to fix.

Just find a set of used or cheap replacement injectors. Installing a Carb on an FI engine would be a hassle. You'd have to rewire everything, change the ECU, install the carb and different intake manifold and deal with vacuum lines. It would probably add up to more money than just replacing the bad injector(s).
