    Only if we:

    - Talked for more than 2 years first.
    - Had webcam convos, so you REALLY know their appearance.
    - Lived near each other. Its creepy if someone flies internationally to meet you after meeting on the net.

    Actually yes, I met my husband on the internet WAY back when it was not "common"...he is my soulmate, the person I've looked all my life for, but never thought I'd find, so I "settled for" what I thought was the best choice (after the first husband who abused me HORRIBLY) for my children (and then after 16 years he has an affair w/his female dispatcher!)...

    Anyway, we are ten years into this beautiful dream and I wouldn't have MISSED IT FOR THE WORLD!

    I have done that, but with taking precautions. Except for one experience I had an enjoyable time. For the one time, it wasn't bad, just not all the enjoyable.

    BTDT three times - Long term relationship (over a year) with one... Met another (with prior LTR) at airport bar and talked for a while... And, as prior LTR ended, met another. Married her. Been married 3-1/2 years, so far.

    I might meet someone, but of course it would be in a safe envionment. It would be interesting to see how they matched up to my mental image of them.

    My daughter met with one of her online friends while we were on vacation in the other girl's area. It worked out well. Both families were leery at first, but the parents were present and the girls enjoyed meeting in person. They still keep in frequent contact.

    I would have probably said no a few years ago. However, I meet up with a few of my AB friends whenever I go to America and they have visited me here in the UK and stayed with my family and I and they are wonderful people and I consider them as part of my family. So for me meeting up with people that I met on the internet has been a very positive experience for me and I hope to meet up with many more of my AB friends in the future.

    Sure. Some people on the Internet are fake, tricky and manipulative, just like in regular life, and I could have not had the greatest time if this hadn't been glaringly obvious. But certain other people are super nice and charming and wonderful and lovable. If I ever met them I certainly wouldn't mind it. I don't think there should be some sort of "Internet people" stigma.

    I have met a few folks and some of them were really good people I am friends with them and we email and chat online and on the phone from time to time and 2 yrs ago one of them flew 800 miles to meet me and my family and we had a wonderful time, I will never forget it, there are some really good folks on here if you just use good common sense.

    Only if I'd know them a long long time having established a good friendship and had communicated through video conversations first. Even then I would only meet in a public place to begin with because of the risk that could be involved.
