a couple of feet is air

yea i had the same problem for a while. what you need to do is get the boat to hit a good high speed, and get on the very right side or the very left side of the boat, then in a sharp turn hit the opposite side (so lets so your on the far right, turn hard left to the left wake left by the boat, as its breakin and in the high point of the wake) then when you hit the top of the wake kick off from it, the speed and the kick should get you some better air if you do it correctly
-
If you extend your rope, do a proggresive turn into the wake or put buckets of concret, gall. of water or stones in the back of the boat. All these should help you get AIR
-
hold the handle as low as you can when you hit the wake and also lean slightly away from the wake but keep the board as flat to the water as possible. also if the boat is goin too fast you will be too heavy on your feet so keep the speed below 22mph

a progressive turn into the wake will give you the best pop. you do not need to get a lot of speed towards the wake to get air. the more you load the rope the more air you will get. as you approach the wake do not level off your progressive turn towards the wake as you will loose all of the tension you just built in the line. it is the spring in the line that will give you the most air. wake size and speed towards the wake only effect how far you will fly.
