Which is why everyone should have a pre-nup, keep their home if they already have one, and not mix money. She shouldn't need to change her name and he shouldn't need to buy any rings.

Since divorce is likely, not being too entagled makes it much cleaner and easier.

The point is to keep the divorce lawyers in business. Somebody's got to.

    1) There are many advantages of being married in our societies, even in our day and age. The gay marriage problematic has demonstrated some of the issues involved.
Although it is usually not the main reason, many people wish a marriage because of the wedding. If you are a wedding addict, divorce is rather a good thing...

The expensiveness of the ring is a symbol for the value that you give to your partner.

    2) "Marriage is a social union or legal contract between individuals that creates kinship. It is an institution in which interpersonal relationships, usually intimate and sexual, are acknowledged by a variety of ways, depending on the culture or demographic. Such a union may also be called matrimony, while the ceremony that marks its beginning is usually called a wedding and the marital structure created is known as wedlock.

People marry for many reasons, most often including one or more of the following: legal, social, emotional, economical, spiritual, and religious. These might include arranged marriages, family obligations, the legal establishment of a nuclear family unit, the legal protection of children and public declaration of love."

Well it is not guaranteed it will end in divorce but there is not need to marry if you don't want to, it is just the legal side of a relationship which a civil union would cover.

It's a personal choice if the point of it is over your head then don't do it until you understand it, no one should have to explain it to you.

If you take your time dating and you all match on the physical, mental and spiritual level and love each other unconditionally then you will never see divorce.

When you have sex before marriage you actually curse the relationship. So ya, don't bother getting married because you will just end up hating the other person and you will want to divorce. It is a spiritual matter. If you are not spiriually led then you just continue having sex with random people hoping to find the 'right one' but, you never will.

Yeah, it's silly because people end up divorcing the majority of the time. When the time comes for me, I'll probably get one of those...what do you call it when you just have a legal partnership, but aren't actually married. Guess I should figure that out lol
