I installed Norton Virus protection 2009. What is with the shopping cart showing up on everything I google? Also, how do I schedule scans? Looked everywhere.

The shopping cart tells you the site is transaction safe and protected, the check mark tells you it's a trusted, safe site.
For scan setup - open to your Norton main page. You'll see three blueish boxes titled: Computer, Internet, and Identity. Beside each title you'll find "settings" click to enter the set up categories for that heading. The one you want is "Computer" to set up for scans. I have mine set for weekly idle time scans, it works quietly when you're not on the computer, but it's left turned on. I love it. :)

Also. Since I installed this new program my computer seems to be working way better. Is that possible or just my imagination? I had Norton previous,360 I believe.

It's very possible. I'm not sure exactly which program you're running, but I've been running Internet Security for years, and the latest version is the best yet. It works fast and quiet in the background, you'll forget it's there until you see a little message box telling you it just did a quick scan. The older versions worked much slower and slowed everything down while Norton looked at everything. Now it updates itself constantly and does quick scans often, then does deep scans for whatever you set it to do. I used to look at all scan results to see who and what was trying to attack and I was impressed with the job it does. Now I hardly ever look anymore and have learned to trust it completely.
