Help answer this question below.
I am told this on numerous occasions by children living in the projects.
Most do not have a daddy in their life and i am it.
I love it. nothing like a small child running up to you and placing their arms around your leg and grinning and saying "how are you Mr. Policeman"?
I am the only mentor these children have in their life.
Slap them a few times and show them someone they should hold as a role model.
oh that would be my day
I would be flattered and then tell them to seek professional help.
I most certainly would be flattered but I would feel burdened because I would then all the time have to live up to their expectations.
I would laugh so hard then say, thats nice,
this has happened to be many times in my life...i am honored...it makes me proud. i take this role very seriously.
I'd be flattered, of course!
i'd be honored but would definetly ask why
i would be very surprised since i'm usually in the shadows. =P
Someone said this to me before. I think it was just their reaction to something I did, though. If they meant it in general, I'd think "Oh dear..."
ya WHAT?
Grateful that someone got something positive from me.
I have been a role model all my life, so I would not have any particular "reaction" so much as being thankful that I live my life in a way that others can benefit.
LOL ... I would love it ;)
I am a role model for my kids everyday. My reaction is one of due care and attention.
from past experience, i would tell them that i'm glad they think so highly of me seeing how i still am a kid but, as i did before i would explain to them that even though they look up to me they shouldnt do everything i do for instance smoking and drinking i try to encourage them not to do those things
Give them every reason to change that oppinion
I would tell them they are confused, I'm not a marvel superhero or an NBA player.
I would feel honoured if someone told me that I was their role model. Knowing that I could affect someone with my actions would be rewarding to myself.
Who me???!!!! [Incredulous]
well first of be happy someone admires you. being a role model help 2 people u and him. it will teach you to wana be more mature for the kids sake and he will learn to be a good person like your self. you might not be the best role model ever aslong as you care and try he should be happy
ps look at role models its a good example. u cant always be the best but u can try your best.
its good for kids to have role models and its nice to be one. good luck
It depends on which role, as an adult, you were talking about.
If i were a drug dealer, not much to be proud about here.
If i were a convicted criminal, not much to be pround here, either.
But, if i was leading a Christian life, loving my wife and family, a community role model, then i would have this reaction to your comment..................
"This is my goal in life. you have no idea how your words have effected my life".
Thank you.
This would be one of the highest honors that one human being could give to another.
i would what best for them not to follow it.
Die of a heart attack
id thank them and tell them my faults, weaknesses, and sins. then i would also tell them my strengths, and good deeds and see if i was still a good role model. not that im a bad person i just want them to make sure they want me to be their role model.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
say what or why me there are tons of other people in this world
I'd literally roll on the floor and laugh out loud!
"OH HELL"
I'd say sweet... just hope you can develop my abilities but not the sadim tough... it really sucks when you have luck so bad that EVERYTHING you touch turns to lead.
roll about laughing,at the thought of how stupid the human race is
slap them silly and tell them to wake up to there selves!...lol
Laugh, and tell them what a role model is, and wait for them to realise just how mistaken they are.
Laugh..:)
Amazing!.....And then I would make sure I am on tip top shape. Cuz I got eyes watchin me. LoL.
I'd be blushing like a beet!!!
Honestly.... just be flattered, encourage them to be themselves, and work to become a better person, myself.
i would be surprised but i would not change how i acted... i would be a bit more careful but i would still be me. haha
I would say to them to find a new role model. I or my life can't teach them anything valuable.
I would take off my clothes and be a nude model
I would be shocked but honoured.
I would think that I was doing something right...... and........ think that person still could benifit from a better role model.
I'd laugh and say you better go get a new one
I'd be afraid....very afraid....;-D...
It happens all the time...
I would be surprised and taken back by their words. I would be very honored they felt that way.
This has happened before. I'm thinking of one specific case, though. I felt like she put me on too high of a pedestal. I also felt a huge responsibility to be a better person just because of what she said. I was quite flattered, but at the same time, I was irritated by it. I ended up resenting her.
tell me any allrounder in the history?
