child support changed court dates and did not notify him? A friend of mine had this happen to him now he's in jail. Can he fight this?

Ex doesn't pay full amount of child support, sometimes not at all. I contact Domestic Relations monthly, nothing happens. What can I do?

The non custodial parent and i had gone to court because he received a contempt of court for not paying child support. He was told that since he has two jobs and lives with his girlfriend who also has a job that he can continue to pay 576.00 a month. They said that if he didn't that he would go to jail 5 days every month that he didn't pay the full amount. This started last month. I received 738.00 from his taxes and only 80.00 from him. I remind him because i don't want him to go to jail. But somehow everytime he is suppose to pay he says that his hours got cut. So what do you think will happen. So far this month my daughter hasnt received anything.
