Anyone plz, my 52" PJ TV turns off allmost imediately after turning it on, then leaves a "lamp status" solid red light. how can I verify the lamps condition?

I turned my 52 inch GE TV off with the button in front. When I try to turn it back on, the light blinks 3 times, but will not turn on. Help?

I cant get picture to show on older big screen mitsubishi projection tv model vs 5073 but i can hear the sound so how do i get the picture?
