  • OK, what shall I do next?
  • Hi ron-ron! Hopefully you have an appointment to meet with the Business Committee in order to present your application in person. That will give you the very best opportunity for a positive outcome! Prior to meeting with them, have a sound "business plan" prepared. It should include things like number of years in business, #s of children enrolled, examples of programs and activities offered, qualifications of teachers, etc. You may be asked to provide $ numbers of revenues generated, or grant funds received to show viable operating expenses will be met. It will be very important for you to have all licensing and insurance documents in order. If you will be able to offer daycare services to employees of companies in the new building, that will be a definite plus! Once you have all of your documents prepared, make a cover sheet and index, have them copies, 3-hole punched and/or bound in a soft cover presentation booklet found at any office supply store or copy center. If possible, prepare a PowerPoint presentation of a few slides with bullet points of some of the things mentioned here which will also be found in their booklet. If you have photos of the happy children, be sure to include some in the PowerPoint. Be sure to carry business cards. Good Luck and please come back in a comment and let us know the outcome of your efforts!!!
