In my teens there was a popular song about people in San Francisco 'wearing flowers in their hair'. I will look to see if they still do it. I will be happy if I could find just one man or woman wearing a flower in their hair.

Check out Fishermans Wharf. Head over to Chinatown.

Chinatown, Little Tokyo. . Fisherman's Wharf - especially to tour the old ships and the ferry boat there. Boudin's has the finest sourdough bread you've ever tasted. . The Cannery area a block in from the wharf has life music and outdoor bars. Not far from there is Ghirardelli chocolatiers. . And as long as you're in the neighborhood there is the Wave Organ.

Same things I used to do when I lived there... Ride the bus and sight see, go over to Carmel and window shop, go to the warf and browse. It's a fun town and really pretty too!

I would take the bart to berzerkly across the bay and hang out in various coffee shops near the UC Berkeley campus.
