  • Simple:you don't miss what you never knew existed*
  • Well, despite the fact that as a species we've only been around for a few hundred thousand years (at most a million), this is due largely to the presence of our survival instincts. You see, we adapt...that is why we're so prolific as a species. Our brains allow us to adapt ourselves and our environment to our needs. Now, this also means we adapt into use of tools when they're present. This is the convenience factor of adaptation. More than just a social norm, like clothing, I very rarely see many people without jewelry on though its utility is far less than a cell phone. I think that the real question inside of yours is why are cellphones so addictive and it once again goes back to our primordial iteration: we're communicators. Of all species, we've the most advanced communication (that we can ascertain) and a cell phone allows us to communicate with whomever, whenever.
  • Where's your question. All i see is an exclamation point. Close, but no cigar.
  • I agree with you people are so wrapped up in their phones like their own little bubble world some people look at you as if to say "do you mind im trying to have a private conversation here" while in a busy public place on their phone how rude.if they ever lost their phone they are usually frantic and panic to locate it as well like they need it to breathe properly or something,so sad.
  • I saw someone jogging today on a busy street while talking on her cellphone. Crazy.
  • I know what you mean. Most all are trying to drive & use one at the same time. I guess I must be about the only one who dose not. But I will confess I do use a C.B. or Ham radio sometimes.
  • I swear if you take a looksy(if you dare) in their other nooks and crannies of their body's, you'll find cell phones there as well, like up their a$$ for example. hehe It is so insane. I understand for emergencies-but some people seem addicted or something. I have also seen children as young as 12 with them. Ugh. I don't even call people when I am driving unless I am at a long-wait intersection or if my dad is in the hospital again. I have seen many drivers talking on their phones and their safe driving suffers because of it.
  • Invention is the mother of necessity.
  • well we live in a world of fear and these people are the most fearful of all, have to be in constant contact with someone all the time, and its only about 4.5 million years for the human evolution with about a 125 thousand for the present incarnation of the present species called humans .. and I think that cell phones should be banned in auto's altogether except for EMERGENCIES, since I have had so many close calls with these dumb asses NOT paying attention to the road .. ~Nemo~
