    Basically the british would have got owned, especially when the Spanish landed, from what i remember learning, the Spanish only stopped to pick up an army or 2 when the British fireships got em. If those fireships hadnt been used the Spanish would have landed hundreds of thousands of men on British shores, enough to beat our smaller land armies (and of course the peasants). But as it stands only the Romans (something BC) and Normans (1066) have gotten onto British mainland, even the Nazi's failed, and from documents of the Nazi assault on Britain and the Nazi Generals who would have made the attack, it wouldnt have worked anyway.
