causes: hot dry air, picking one's nose, scabs in your nose, fixing: i just blow out into a paper towel whatever crud is in my nose. and then i press my fingers onto the side of my nose that is bleeding. sometimes i use a tissue to absorb any blood that leaks out. its a pressure technique. it forms a blood clot. after a few minutes, i blow out what was formed and gently breathe in and out through my nose to allow the air to dry the wound and start the blood to clot. usually it stops right away and i can then breathe through that side of my nose. if you have a lot of nosebleeds carry a couple hankerchiefs with you. you can wash them out in cold water in any bathroom and dry them in the sunshine somewhere. the car dash, a window sill, the lawn.
