  • No a rapist doe not care how many street walkers there are he will still rape.
  • Prostitution was made legal in New Zealand ages ago and from what I understand, it hasn't changed the number of rapes each year..
  • No, I doubt there would be any change. Rape has very little to do with sex. Rape is about power and violence, & legalizng prostitution would not have any impact.
  • I doubt that would help. Although prostitution is still illegal, it isn't that hard for a person to find one if they want sex all that badly. There should be stricter penalties for rape, and whena rapist gets out of jail, they should have to wear a sandwich board sign that says, "Kick me, I'm a rapist."
  • Using common sense can HELP safeguard a person from being raped, but using common sense can not prevent a rapist from raping. In order to prevent a rape one would need to know the low lifer they deal with before hand and unfortunately rapist come in all shapes, sizes, colors. A rapist can be young or old, male or female and from any walk in life. So if you eliminate all the possiblities it is then and only then you can totally prevent a rape! And an FYI to the prostitution gig, when a prostitue says NO and the sexual act is then forced its still called RAPE! And is tried as such in a court of law.
  • Rape isn't about sex. Rape is about power and control. Legalizing prostitution wouldn't do anything for that.
  • sex is apart of power..
