My kid walked out with 9 (yes, nine) honors today at her school's awards ceremony! And, she got the all-time top reader EVER in the history of her school. If you'd like to, would you please tell her good job? I'll let her read what you've written :)

No kidding!! I walked right into that one. I'm lucky he is a fair, THINKING person. My friend didn't get PB'd.
The girl attacked my kid. I'm not kidding....she went through my questions, found this one, and called my 11 year old daughter a little bitch. In what universe is this okay? Idiot.
Avatar The Chief Sep, 28 2009 at 09:14 AM
This is why my wife and I do not post pictures and names of our kids on the internet for everybody to see! You never know what other people may take it into their minds to do.

As far as she knows, I've posted neither. But you're right. Anything can be used as a weapon against you or your family. Anyway, that was what happened. I didn't want to incite any riots or anything. Just wanted you to know that's what the problem was.

yea, i have one but i may just cancel it and live in mexico. i wouldn't quite call it poverty, i mean a lot of us are poor no doubt but it's not that bad. our culture is extremely respectful and religious, so growing up we learned to respect everyone, even your enemies. good times
Avatar barbiedoll off computer drs orders Sep, 28 2009 at 01:11 PM
I've seen that, it was just that we were working in the poor areas. I liked the religious aspect too. There was so much I learned.
Avatar Anonymous Sep, 28 2009 at 02:08 PM
yes, i love my culture and am very proud of it.

I am an elementary teacher. Reading is probably the most important skill you can learn and develop in school. Good reading skills open doors to the future. If you can read well, the best educational opportunities and careers are waiting for you.

But, reading is not just about getting an education and a good job. Reading is one of the most satisfying past-times that I know. Reading a good story can transport you to a different time and place where you will meet new people, creatures, adventures, etc.

Congratulations on a job well-done. Keep reading, girl!
