Help answer this question below.
I think a train trip would be interesting, but if I rode one each day I would probably think it is boring after a time.
I think train is better than either bus or airplane. It has more space to walk around. Long distance trains have dining cars and sleeping compartments. Both train and bus you can look out at the sceneries whereas airplane it's just clouds.
I love taking the train. It might be boring if you take a commuter train every day, but normally I love train travel.
Why would you expect taking a train to be exciting?
The train is never boring, there is always something or someone to watch and admire or be amused by.:)
The last train I was in was one of those kiddie trains at a park and my kids and I loved it. That was the only train I have ever been on.
For me, yes, but some people love trains, so it entirely depends on the person.
I never found the train boring. It always had interesting-looking characters and views; and a bar car...yay!
Oh, no, train travel is never boring! Think of it--you can see the countryside you are traveling through (unlike planes) without having to watch the road (unlike driving), you have the freedom to leave your seat and wander throughout the train (unlike busses); what better way to travel?
The train is never boring....its a new adventure every day....plus it pays pretty well, too!
Nope, not really.
I love traveling by train. I've crossed the USA twice by train and loved it. We timed our trip so that we would be awake during the best scenery parts. I loved eating on the train and getting out on some small stops. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Not at all. I love to people watch and let my imagination go wild thinking, where are they going and what do they do for a living? The scenary is normally great and forever changing and you meet some great people on them, sometimes lol.
I rather like riding the train; as long as it's FIRST CLASS! You get a perspective of the landscape you otherwise wouldn't be ale to enjoy! I even like a "short" jaunt on a rickety train!
Not if you got sex during the trip!
Depends on where you are going and who you are going to travel with. Could be some good quality time?
Not as boring as a yacht trip. At least on a train trip, the scenery changes. On a boat all you see is water, water and more water.
not when you go with me :) you never know where you might end up :)
I only find it boring at night if I've nothing to read with me as it's too dark to look out the window.
the solitude of not talking to your fellow man/woman, if you do theyll think your nuts or trying to conn them or something:)
I've never been on a train.
It wouldn't be for me, because it would be my first train ride!
It can be. You're just sitting there.
not always, i've had one hell of a ride on amtrack from dallas to st louis. don't remember her name though
No, you can find out what everyone's travel plans are.
If its too long a trip yes! I would say that about long flights and car rides as well. I'm good for about 3 hours then i get a little restless.
However i do feel that among the 3 methods of transportation i mentioned the train is the best! Its very relaxing and generally the smoothest way to travel (no bumps in the road/air pockets to fly through).
What was your most interesting train trip

Why don't many Americans like trains but prefer the airlines' lousy fares, rediculous waits, rude personnel etc. Do they hate Amtrak?

Amtrack trains. Do they offer electrical outlets to charge cell phones and laptops at the seat? Or anywhere on the trains?
