Do you believe in the theory that we are all connected through 6 degrees of seperation?

    I believe that MOST people are connected by 6 degrees of separation, but probably not all. Consider this: let's say a hermit only knows one person who's in an indigenous tribe in South America. That person hasn't had contact with Western civilization, but his friend has. That's three people down. Now, duplicate that scenario with a tribe in the Pacific Islands. It is unlikely that the two people familiar with Western civilization have met one another.

    I like to beleive in this theory but I think you would have to do a massive ammount of networking to really see some results! I think Insequo is right it kinda depends on how many people you know, how sociable you are.
