Question

Help answer this question below.

My 2004 Jeep had all tires replaced last year except for the full size spare which has never been used. It has never been out of the storage space. Today I checked and the sides are soft. Is it common for a spare to go flat when not used?

OH YES!! I am a mechanic, & I (most) always ck. the spares. More than 90% are useless as they are under-inflated. I've also stopped to help people with a flat on the road, with same result.
