Less turnover. People don't want to go out and try to find a job. Makes for more competent crew and fewer mistakes. My friend who owns a building maintenance company has had GREAT success in the recession. He started and keeps his company without any debt so he was already in a good position when the recession hit. He has been able to last when others have gone out of business, giving him MORE business than before. With the same decreased turnover I'm seeing he's been able to increase efficiency as well to make more money off of each job.
