Prisons are looking like holiday resorts these days. Are prisoners getting spoiled while doing time? Which services should be available for them?

I have no idea where you get the idea that prisons look like holiday resorts. I've not seen one that looks like that. Oh, I suppose a few white-collar places do. But I don't think that we, the US, should worry too much. There are more people in prison here than in any other country it the world, relative to population AND in absolute total, so it isn't likely that it's real fun in there.

Have you been to prison? How do you know? Until you have experienced it i really don't think you should be passing judgement. I think that being away from family, friends, having nothing to do, staying in a cell 23 hours a day and not being able to get a job when you get out is bad enough, don't you?

I often wonder how many of the people who say prison is like a holiday camp would be keen to go and spend a few months there if it is so enjoyable.
