  • Sports cars are all about looks, not practicality. They were designed to be a status symbol instead of something to be used for everyday stuff. But if you want performance plus practicality, I recommend the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO series. Even though the EVO is officially a 4-door saloon, that thing could outrun a Lamborghini

  • In a time when the automotive industry did not have the technology to compensate effectively for added weight, reducing the size of the vehicle was the most efficient way to increase handling, braking, and acceleration performance. The BMW M5 and Audi S6 come immediately to mind, but there are plenty of vehicles that provide a superior sporting experience even at lower price points, as well as others above. The definition of a sports car is vague, and subjective to the driver's prejudices and preferences. Some people simply don't consider a vehicle to be a true sports car unless it is a two-seater, and though I completely disagree with that, if that is the definition one has of a sports car, then that is all the seating it can offer.

  • The more people you have in a car the higher the weight is in a car. This really kills the performance, especially, turning, fuel economy, power to weight ratio and more. Some do have room for more people, though. Saloons like the M5 and quattroporte are great fast cars that really give you the sense your in a true sports car, that you can turn into a day to day driver.
