True OR False: Ice Cubes made with cold water will freeze faster than ice cubes made with hot water?

• You did something very wrong in your test then. If the conditions are equal in the freezer, cold water freezes much faster than hot.

• Like I said...everyone will argue both sides...I'm not talking boiling water against 32 degree water....Cold water and hot water straight out of the tap. I have done it more than once.

• Nope. People come up with all sorts of hooey about the molecules in hot water moving faster, and thus helping the hot water to cool. But as it cools those molecules slow. Meanwhile, the cold water has already frozen.
