Help answer this question below.

Nature shows on TV say that when two bull moose compete for a lady moose, the one with the smaller antlers concedes to the other one. I can see how a moose can tell the size of his opponent`s antlers, but how does he know how big his own are?

    According to my husband who has hunted moose for 30+ years, he says the males will attack each other with their antlers until one goes down. Obviously the larger, stronger moose will have the larger rack and will win. He says it's common sense.
