i guess your nervous about maybe your first interview some people do get hired without an interview it all depends on the employer and whether or not the job is worth the interview but in 90% of the cases i would say an interview is is needed dont worry about it im sure they will know it is your first interview and that will go in your favour on the day.i hope i get my first interview sometime next week!

Maybe someone can be hired after just submitting a resume. Or nepotism or from a recommendation.

Yes. Sometimes people are hired "on the spot" because the business needs workers.
