it's probably because the plane has a knockout/cellblock which freezes cellphones and other "high tech" devices so they don't interfere with the landing procedure.if your ipod freezes just wait until the plane lands and press the center button and the menu button at the same time.
Buying Ipod with more memory than current 4G. Will I be able to sync new Ipod to my Itunes library and still use the old 4G on same account?
