Its never the same, because I love soaps. They have a huge brick of soap made by (???) that I am looking for like crazy. It costs about $8, not cheap. but it lasts forever. The point is, it smells like tomatoes, the green part of the tomato, kind of like basil. I bought it in World Trade Market in Phoenix and now I can't find it anywhere. I put it in my bathroom and it made the whole bathroom smell fresh and green. I want more.
Irish Spring Bar Soap
Some fruit smelling antibac. liquid stuff at the sink.

Pears? Is that a name of the soap? +6
by nutmegcollector on May 14th, 2009
Yes. It is. I am in Australia, but I know they had Pears in England too. It is famous for being a transparent soap, being made with alcohol instead of water when making the soap itself. So I read.

Thank you. Alcohol? Doesn't that make your skin dry?
by nutmegcollector on May 14th, 2009
I guess it would, but the reaction is only used whilst making the soap. Soap is made by chemical reaction with fats and sodium hydroxide. Sodium hydroxide isn't good for the skin either, but technically, the soap is a 'salt', as it is the end product of the chemical reaction and is now useable, and neutral. I presume the same with the alcohol soap, but I don't know the chemical reaction.
