What would you do if neighbor across street came around corner with his truck in rain & tried to scare you because your dog got loose in storm and you were trying to get him in house and you called police he tells police he did it intentionally

• they told him to not take matters into his own hands and if he does it again he goes to jail, it was awful we were getting a terrible storm with intense lightening, some how my dog got out and he would not come in so me my son and daughter were trying to get him in , it was around 10pm and my son got very frustrated and yelled one time at the dog and I told him that it was too loud because these people complain if you go out to your car in the morning to go to work and say hi to someone, anyways, the thunder was so loud I have no idea how they could say we were loud, and the guy came flying around the corner from his drive and tried to scare me and my kids because we were trying to get the dog inside and he told the cops we were too loud, then he sat in front of his house toward mine and kept flashing his brights at my house, my fiance went and stood in our door back at him I call 911 , I was really frightened he was gonna hit me or my kids or dog with his truck

• Very scary indeed. Sounds like you have a psycho neighbor! I'd just make sure to keep a log of everything he does and I know it sounds stupid to say, but keep away from him as much as possible. In this day and age you never know what people will do. But when in doubt, call the police. And I really hope this gets better. Terrible to feel uncomfortable in your own home!

• Yes he and his wife are old and weird and they act like they own the street and I am going to call the police if they yell at me again, last year me and my daughter was sitting on the porch talking and she said to shut up we were too loud and I was like whatever and then she sent her son out to yell at me again and my daughter said mind your own business and we were like how weird,, I have never had this problem any where I have ever lived before the guy we bought the house from said they did the same thing to him and he told me to tell them to kiss off but I m not going to do that because it may cause more problems , I thank you for your input ! !!!

• I think after he got the idea that my fiance is over 6 ft and is 200 lbs of mostly muscle he came over today and said he was sorry, so we will see , if he had not apologized, I was going to talk to the head of the police and I was considering charges against him.

• Well, make sure you document everything that has happened, including copies of police reports-in case it comes up again. Sometimes an apology isn't enough. :)

• HI! sorry I missed you, but as usual we have had a crazy day,, one of my daughters best friend took off with some loser of a guy last nite and her mom called us today and said she would not come home and she has no idea where they are so me and the girls spent most of the day looking for her and after she was missing for longer than we liked it we made a police report and with a very big hunk of a blessing we got the guys phone number and some other places and names we can use to try and locate where she is. I spent my whole evening feeling like an investigator and I am so glad that we are very close to finding her now me my daughters her friends are leaving messages on the girls phone and she obviously has it either turned off or it went dead and the guy has his messages turned off as well, and we can not understand this girl she is very smart and is being accepted into a great school after graduation and this is not like her to do this because her dad passed away a few years ago and

• she and her mom are very close, her mom and I have been on the phones all day and nite and I just took a break because it is starting to get me upset, please if you can put up a prayer for this mom that her daughter comes back alive and ok?! thanks so much ! • thanks !!! we have been very quiet since they yelled at us before about the loud thing but this is our dog and the storm was so loud that I have no idea how they could have heard us say come on , come on to the dog trying to get his butt in the house , it was so scarey with lightening wind and thunder that we kept coming in and waiting and then going back out on the porch and saying come on to him,, it amazed me that they even heard us ,,

• right he is not the type to piss off because he is an old man and his wife bitches if you are outside in the middle of the day with music or talking to people, and that is too weird for me. I have no idea how they could have heard us calling our dog as loud as the storm was.

• I want to see if I can press charges on him , the cops that came seemed to be not too enthused and I think it is because this dude works for the county, but if I have to go over city cops heads I may do so, I feel he was way out of line if his truck would have fish tailed in the rain and hit someone else car that was parked on the street or he would have hit one of us then the way he was driving should be considered dangerous driving for the road conditions, because the road was rain soaked this type of thing just goes to show us how crazy and how uncaring people are of human life these days

I am not one to get into others business and have no concern for what others do and I dont even know their names and I have lived here for over a year now,, they do nothing but complain and yell at people and think they own the street and there is no way a person should have to be afraid to live in their own home and that is what happens because of fear

• Get together with all your other neighbours and demand that the police do something about this assault. As someone has already suggested, keep a log with all details and have your neighbours do the same thing. It is not the American way to have to cower in your own home for fear of upsetting a psycho neighbour.
