Yes I worse a uniform in middle school and when I got to my second highschool we had to wear specific clothing. Two yrs of pleated pants/long khaki skirts and collard shirts.

I did growing up. I went to a Catholic school. I didn't mind wearing a uniform. It took the "guess work" out of wondering what I would wear everyday and any need for competition.

Yes - for grammar school and high school. Then I went to college and wore jeans and a sweater or sweatshirt. And then I went to work in a lab and wore a coat over whatever I wanted/had available to wear. So I never had to really dress up for anything. When I got a "real job" I didn't know what to do for the longest time. It took me awhile to find my own style and be comfortable in it.

Yup.. Primary school it was grey/white/red. Secondary school it was green and white.

I went to public school during the 1950's. None of the students wore uniforms. However, cousins who went to private school during that era wore uniforms.

Yes. A charcoal grey suit, white shirt & school tie. Also had to have the official kit for games, rugby shirt, football shirt, shorts & socks, all in school colours from the official suppliers & a different kit for PE.

No. Not for just school. I think we had to buy an outfit for gym once but the uniform for band was issued. I had several uniforms for jobs, from McD's to the Navy. But not for school like they have nowadays.

No, I went to public schools. No uniforms required. Some of my cousins went to Catholic school down in the valley though, and they had uniforms to wear. My parents went to Indian boarding school down Sherman institute in SO. Cal. They had to wear uniforms too.
