  • clear is usually the result of the light originating from objects behind the clear object being visible through it, so clear itself isn't a color, but it allows other colors to be seen. The effect is though that light gets a bit defracted and the immage of what is behind it is curved or distorted, and this is what makes the clear object visible. Also the light may be a tad colored by small amounts of color in the clear object. Sometimes a clear object will work as a prism creating rainbows due to the difference in bending of different light-wavelengths. Lastly light sources can be strongly reflected to make the clear object look like a lightsource in some places.
