Unlike most mammals, humans don't "go into Season". Yeah they have periods of high and low probility, but pregency can occure most any day of the month.

In general, the egg arrives 14 days prior to the start of her period. But, eggs are very unreliable. For example, women who live together or work together often find their periods start to sync with each other. So, the are all going through it at the same time. This means the body is constantly adapting to your current situation. Any fluctations can make the body very unpredictible. Attempting to time sex with the egg is extremely risky. Many, many babies have been conceived with people attempting to figure out the female cycle. Also, keep in mind, most men drip semen when the are erect. That means during sex, men are driping sperm into the women. The withdrawal method does not work.
