Have you seen the transcripts of the flight that crashed in Buffalo, NY a few months ago? Where did it all go wrong?

    Heavy icing + Honeywell Auto Pilot + Poor De-icing+ Pilot error...
    The auto pilot should have been turned off with the first signs of icing. To counteract the pitch down moment the auto pilot deflected the trim tabs to the stops. As soon as the auto pilot kicked off the airplane was in a stall.

    It's very disturbing that both the pilot and co-pilot appear to have been both deeply distracted and incompetent.

    When they put the flaps on, the plane was on autopilit. Wrong, Then the pilit put the control up, not down which is correct. This stalled the wings and then it crashed.
